FAQs
How long does it take to create an original piece?
The time can vary greatly, but most drawings take a minimum of 10-20 hours and paintings can take months to complete.
Do you sell your artwork?
Yes, as often as possible. All available prints can be purchased here on my website. Occasionally originals are available, feel free to contact me on those.
Do you take requests/commissions?
Yes, I do occasionally accept commissions at my own discretion. Contact me if you're interested.
What mediums do you focus on?
I enjoy a variety of mediums and have sold work done in pencil, colored pencil, acrylic paints, and oil paints. I also enjoy working with watercolors, though I don't feel comfortable enough with them to sell those pieces.
What is an original?
An original is the actual piece that I have created with my hands. I take the paper or canvas from blank to beautiful. After layer upon layer of work the finished product shows more care and detail than what can be captured in a reproduction.
What are prints?
Prints are reproductions or copies of originals. Once an original is finished, it is photographed and a digital file is created and sent off to a print shop to be reproduced/printed on various substrates including paper and canvas.
What is the difference between the paper and canvas prints?
While both are extremely high quality, the canvas is more durable and provides more framing options including a gallery wrap. The paper is a heavy stock matte finish.
What is a limited edition?
Limited Edition prints are hand signed and hand numbered. Once the full number of prints in the edition has been printed, signed, numbered and sold, there will never be any more hand signed prints of that artwork available. No Limited Edition Prints are currently available.
What is an open edition?
An open edition is a run of reproduction prints that is not hand signed or numbered and is therefore unlimited. It will continue to be printed and available for purchase indefinitely.
